We discuss similarities and differences between the resurgence program in quantum mechanics and the operator product expansion in strongly coupled Yang-Mills theories. In \cN=1 super-Yang-Mills theories, renormalons are peculiar and are not quite similar to renormalons in QCD. Contribution for the JETP special issue in honor of V. A. Rubakov's 60th birthday
