The rare kaon decay K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ 
u \bar{
u} is considered in the framework of models based on the SU(3)C \qqq\otimes SU(3)L \otimes U(1)N (3-3-1) gauge group. In the 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos, the lower bound of the Z' mass at the value of 3 TeV is derived, and that in the minimal version, at 1.7 TeV.
